ĀKI KAITIAKITANGA
Kaitaikitanga can be understood as the responsibility and practices that protect and nurture the mauri or essence and life force of people and places.
We offer kaimahi safe spaces as individuals or groups to process cultural and clinical experiences from both professional and personal contexts. As a Kaupapa Maori service, we prioritise well-being within the workplace. AKI also partners with Tangata Tiriti to meet the needs of a wide range of people.
The underpinning principles of ĀKI‘s Kaupapa Maori model are:
-
Whanaungatanga (meaningfulconnections/connectedness)
-
Tiaki (caring for people and places)
-
Aroha (compassion)
